Product Updates
1. New skills launched for clients
in the Outdoor Maintenance category
- What this means: In the Outdoor Maintenance category, Landscaping Help and Branch & Hedge Trimming are now available for clients to book you in. If you’re opted in to these skills, make sure your rates and Skills & Experience descriptions are up to date!
- Why we did it: We wanted to finalize an update to our task naming conventions in this category by unifying our client experience with the experience you have as a Tasker. This was part of a larger effort to give clients more options for task booking and you more options for earning—it’s a win-win!
2. New skills test in the Painting and
Home Improvements categories
- What this means:
- We’re currently running a test in the Painting category, where we’ve added the following new skills: Wallpapering; Outdoor Painting; and Concrete & Brick Painting.
- We’re also running a test in the Home Improvements category, where we’ve added the following new skills: Door, Cabinet, & Furniture Repair; Wall Repair; Sealing & Caulking; Appliance Installation & Repairs; Window & Blinds Repair; and Flooring & Tiling Help.
- Why we did it: Again, this test is part of a larger effort to diversify the services we offer clients while also giving you more tasking options. Because this is a test, not all clients will be able to access these new skills. Some tasks may come through for you in the new skills while others will come through the way they always have.
Bug fixes
- We’ve fixed a bug that was preventing some Taskers from receiving push notifications. You should now receive push notifications after updating your Tasker app.
Tasker Tip
It’s almost time for snowy season! If you live in a cold metro that gets a snowy winter, now is the time to consider opting in to Snow Removal! These tasks can be a great way to get repeat business throughout the winter, when clients may be holding off on other tasks that are popular in warmer seasons.
