Happy National Wine Day! We hardly need an excuse to enjoy a glass of wine. But when National Wine Day (May 25) falls on the Friday before a long weekend, this double holiday deserves a proper celebration. If you need us, we’ll be mixing up a pitcher of sangria and firing up the grill. We hope you’ll be doing the same.
…Unless someone forgets or loses the corkscrew, and you’re left hacking at the cork with a knife while the food gets cold. In case of emergency, here’s an easy (Tasker approved) way to open a bottle of wine with common toolbox items.
What You’ll Need
- Screwdriver
- Screw
- Hammer
Directions
- Twist the screw into the cork, like you would do with a wine opener.
- Using the back of the hammer, yank the screw and cork out.
- Receive thanks and compliments for saving the party. Cheers!
