Product Updates

1. New blog page for Tasker Updates!

  1. What this means: As you might have noticed, your Tasker Updates posts are now located on our new blog! 
  2. Why we did it: We’re in the process of bringing all of our blog content onto one blog that will serve both Taskers and clients. Check back soon for all product updates, Tasker stories, and tips from top Taskers about our most in-demand task categories.

2. Better profile visibility in client search results

  • What this means: Now that we’ve updated our task category structure, clients can see both the number of tasks you’ve done in a skill they’re interested in and the total number of tasks you’ve done in the overarching category. They can also now browse all of your reviews easily, regardless of the category you were reviewed for.
  • Why we did it: We wanted to highlight your tasking experience per skill and category—along with your reviews—to give you even more ways to stand out and match with the right clients.

3. New calendar design test

  • What this means: We’re testing out a new calendar design with some Taskers. It includes a more accessible and precise time picker, which still allows for 15-minute increments when setting availability.
  • Why we did it: For Taskers who are part of the test, this newly styled calendar will make setting and editing availability easier. Simply tap on the time block, and use the time picker to update your schedule. If you still prefer to tap and drag, no problem—you can do that, too!

4. In-app support chatbot relaunch

  • What this means: We’ve relaunched your Tasker app’s in-app support chatbot.
  • Why we did it: Self-service can be easier and faster than contacting our live support team. Now you can get quick answers to common questions right away!

5. Improved background check process

  • What this means: We updated the background check process for Taskers.
  • Why we did it: This update improves clarity, user flow, and turnaround times during background checks.
Bug Fixes
  • We’ve fixed a bug that previously ended support chat when exiting out of the chat window.
  • We’ve fixed a bug in pricing guidance that was showing an incorrect recommended rate for TV Mounting.
  • We’re also working on fixing a bug that is turning some Taskers’ maps purple. Stay tuned for updates on this!
