Today, we have some exciting news—Taskrabbit was honored in Built In’s 2023 Best Places To Work Awards! We earned a place on four national lists:
- US Best Places to Work
- US Best Midsize Places to Work
- Fully Remote Best Places to Work
- Fully Remote Midsize Places to Work
Taskrabbit officially implemented a remote-first policy last Spring, which was developed as a result of employee feedback collected over the course of many months. Ultimately, we heard that our employees felt most effective doing the bulk of their work remotely, along with several events planned throughout the year to foster meaningful in-person collaboration. For us, being remote-first means putting virtual work and remote participation as the priority and the primary way our employees work, with all other means of showing up to work as secondary. Most importantly, remote-first refers to how we work rather than where we work. At Taskrabbit, we are committed to building an effective future of work, and are especially proud to be recognized as a leading employer in our industry this year.
“Our workplace is something we take great pride in, and as a company, we are adapting to the newfound changes and the evolving preferences of today’s workforce,” says Taskrabbit CEO, Ania Smith. “This means becoming a remote-first company that allows our employees to embrace work/life harmony and flexibility. Our priority is to ensure that employees feel supported in their roles, have access to resources that foster their wellbeing, and to nurture a positive company culture.”
The Best Places to Work Awards, now in its fourth year, honors companies across numerous categories, including innovative companies of all sizes and ranging from startups to Fortune 100. Built In is a key resource for those in the know to stay ahead of tech trends and news, develop their careers and find opportunities at companies whose values they share.
According to Jessica Davila, VP of People at Taskrabbit, “building a robust and nurturing foundation of benefits, rewards, and people programs is core to employee engagement but we find that there is nothing more important than simply meeting employees where they are, providing a sense of belonging and acceptance, and recognizing that putting what matters most at the forefront – their families, wellbeing, career longevity – will drive the greatest impact on both employee morale and company success.”
